So first things first... Koda's first puppy class. Well he is definitely the naughty one in the group, but I think he did pretty good. We practiced sit (which Koda already knows pretty well, but getting him to do it when he's super excited is the other part) We also learned lay down (which he also already knows) and then... Heel! Koda knows nothing of heel and I am so super excited to have him learn this one! In the class the instructor uses his perfectly trained show dog to do a demonstration (really this dog is unbelievable!) Which makes Nathan and I laugh every time, seeing as Koda is trying his very hardest to pull, and jump is way over to the dog next to us during this time. After the demonstration we get to practice. Now this is where its funny. We have to start by having Koda sit by our sides and then we start walking and have him "heel". Now we are "supposed to" (key words) keep Koda in a little imaginary box next to our left side, the smaller the box the better. However for Koda the moment we start to walk he pulls in every way to get to another dog, like really every way... then you have him "halt" and we have him "supposedly" sit next to our side again. Then once we are done with having him sit we are to say "okay" which is the release word, and after that you give them praise for doing so well. So for Koda once I say "halt" and try to get him to sit, it usually ends up with him on his back kicking and biting me. Once I FINALLY get him to sit and say his "okay", does he want pets and loves? Oh no he bolts for the other dogs. So comical? Yes.But he did (if he could focus) have a few good go's at it and Nathan and I will be practcing a lot with him at home. So wish me luck, I hope it will only get better from here!

Koda-Woda Bear
So some know him, others fear him, or maybe you've never heard of him... It's my Koda! AKA my puppy, he's a pure bread mutt! Boarder Collie, Dachshund, Chihuahua mix to be exact. He's just about 8 months old and I love him to pieces! Nathan brought him home on our 1 month anniversary when he was a wee 5 weeks old. Since then he just keeps growing and always has a silly new personality trate. He loves to cuddle play with toys or bottle caps haha, going "bub-bye", and playing soccer (of course!) but also isn't very nice to everyone :( He goes crazy when he meets new people and sometimes trying to bite people! This makes me so sad because he is so nice at home and I would love to take him to soccer games without him going so crazy. So Nathan and I have signed him up for puppy classes! We went to the first one on Wed but you didn't bring your dogs to that one, so he will start attending this Wed and I'm so excited to see what he can learn and hopefully help him to be nice! Right now Koda is my baby, my camera is always full of his silliness and I miss him when I have to go to work. He's is surely a one of a kind in many ways!

Pregnant?!
So at the request of Nathan's sister (Melissa) I have decided to start a blog! I have no idea what I'm doing, but I hope it will be fun.
And yes that is crazy, but right, I'm pregnant! I can't believe it! It's so many emotions all at once I don't even know what to do! So as everyone has been asking... No it wasn't planned, but it couldn't have come at a better time, seeing as I'm due 3days after my older sister is! We are so thrilled that we get to enjoy this together. So I am 5 weeks as of today (Feb 21), and will be due Oct 25!! My only concern is I DO NOT want a Halloween baby! Probably silly of me but I would just perfer it that way.
Also Nathan and I already believe it's a boy for whatever reason. Not that we just want a boy, either way we are fine, but what do I do with a boy?! I only know what to do with girls! haha oh well we still have lots of time before then. So I'm feeling pretty good. Tired of course, can't eat much in the mornings, and having to go potty lots are about all of my symptoms so far. I can only hope that's as bad as it's going to get in my 1st trimester haha right...
